FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is Clause Two a law firm?

Clause Two is a modern legal consultancy, not a traditional law firm. Our lawyers provide expert support in unreserved legal matters - primarily in respect of commercial and contract law encompassing practice areas such as data protection and intellectual property. Our lawyers do not undertake reserved legal activities like litigation or conveyancing. This ensures that our services stay focused and tailored to the key requirements of our clients.

Is Clause Two regulated by the SRA?

Clause Two is not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and hence clients do not have access to the SRA Compensation Fund (which aims to compensate users of legal services for losses when other avenues, such as professional indemnity insurance, are insufficient). However, all our legal services are delivered by a solicitor who is regulated in their personal capacity by the SRA. This means that our lawyers must comply with the same high ethical and professional standards that you would expect from any other regulated legal professional.

Does Clause Two have PI insurance?

Unlike law firms regulated by the SRA, Clause Two is not required to hold professional indemnity insurance meeting the SRA’s minimum terms and conditions. However, Clause Two maintains £1,000,000 of professional indemnity insurance on a voluntary basis to give clients additional reassurance and protection when using our services.

Does Clause Two have an office?

Clause Two has an office and can accommodate client visits by appointment. However, our lawyers work on a hybrid basis and our service is designed to be delivered remotely. We embrace technology to onboard and deliver results for our clients quickly and efficiently.

Is Pineapple an acceptable pizza topping?

Since you asked, no. Pineapple belongs under a tiny paper umbrella, flirting with a gin cocktail. On pizza, it's just confused fruit on a cheese vacation wondering why it isn't poolside with a straw and a tan. Did we mention that our lawyers never sit on the fence?
